Eat Smart is an award program that recognizes Ontario schools, workplaces and recreation centres that meet exceptional standards in nutrition & safe food handling. Queen’s University dining halls have been owning the certification for years. More information here.

 

SECOND MOST VEGAN FRIENDLY CAMPUS

Queen’s Hospitality Services was voted the 2nd most vegan friendly campus in Canada. The award was presented by the Youth Chapter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA 2). The award granted based upon online votes, emails and blog posts written by students about schools across the country and what they were doing to provide vegan options on campus.

 

AWARD-WINNING QUEEN’S HOSPITALITYSERVICES

In March 2009, a leading voice for Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (known as NASPA) recognized Queen’s Hospitality Services for its work in making the dining halls a dynamic environment for students.
Queen’s University Hospitality Services has received a bronze excellence award for “Feeding Student Engagement.” Queen’s University is the first Canadian institution to have received the award.
